3. Rod intermediate frequency normalizing and carburizing process

Flat rod rod body is required for intermediate frequency normalizing, so, in the process of the process, there are certain requirements, is:

IF normalizing process temperature: 880 ℃ ± 20 ℃

Cooling method: air cooling or air cooling

After normalizing hardness: HRC36-38, its upper limit can not exceed HRC42


Flat breaker tool, if necessary, can also be carburized to improve the performance and use of drill rod effect. Therefore, it is related to the carburizing process of this process.

Carburizing process, the carburizing temperature is 920 ℃ -930 ℃ ± 10 ℃, or is 890 ℃ ± 10 ℃. In the carburized layer thickness, it is generally controlled within the range of 0.6 to 0.9 mm. In addition, the carbon content of the surface carburized layer should be controlled within the range of 0.8% -0.85%, and can not exceed 0.95%.
